Daily Diary - Tuesday 22nd June 2021

 Hello again. Daily writing time is here.

Well 4 days into this new routine, I am happy to share now it's becoming easier.

One of the key reason I think help achieve this is - to have a forward thinking mindset. By that, I mean knowing what we need to do ahead. Accept it, be ready, prepare and welcome it. It is coming, so it might as well start from now, aka preparations.

Today once again no work done, just lots of housekeeping & at night, reading. Finally I've gotten into reading the red book titled The Sale of the Century - the Second Russian Revolution.

For beginners, it's a non fiction book written about the history of socioeconomy Russia post 1990 onwards. How they wanted to replace Communism with Capitalism.. but having 70 years of Communism ingrained into their mindset and an aged leadership of Communism styled decision makers, it took just 10 years for their capitalism dream to crash back to reality. It became a disfunctional, loopsided version of capitalism where top 5% controlled 60% of the economy, while bottom 40% of population living off on the bottom 5% of wealth.

It's not an easy read, it's not a light right, but it's definitely an educational read. I can only infer the reason why the owner of this book bought it initially, was because he himself is a full time trader in Singapore. So this book probably served as a history lesson on capitalism, from the past, for the present & future.

Daily Diary - Friday 9th July 2021

 Hi blogs, Slept in most of the day until 5pm haha. Really, sometimes the better place to be is in our own imagination. At the very least, I'm not out at risk from contracting covid19 from people around me. I also cooked kangkung for dinner to go together with noelle's mom's wild boar curry. Lastly, I proceeded with the purchase of Samsung A12 phone. Simple, fast, a little old, very affordable, perfect for being the work phone but not personal luggage. Once I get that, I'll move all my work stuff in there, then the older Mi Max 3 can be used for leisure and gaming home based. Goodnight!

Daily Diary - Tuesday 29 June 2021

 Hi all, Today I went to meet Kok & Sastina regarding SH matters. Got both to sign TA extension. Kok did share a lot about how people close to him including friends and family have personally fallen ill to C19. One key takeaway he shared was the virus is in a way, picky and selective to who they infect. There were cases where a few people in the same house together but only 1 fell to Covid while the others were unaffected. Hmm food for thoughts indeed. On a side note, I didn't go out for a walk today. Just stayed in to enjoy the cold afternoon sky, this being Malaysia it is an absolute rarity. Therefore, an occasion to appreciate & treasure! Thirdly, I was reading my own posts and I thought to myself - maybe moving forward I should only do things which have long term impact. Things which contribute to something that can be accumulated & accounted for decades down the road. Playing games is definitely not one of it.
