Daily Diary - Wednesday 7th July 2021
Hi Diary,
Today has been overall a very positive day. Not the most productive, but morale & mood has been very strong and positive.
I would say this is down to a few things:
1. Do the hardest things now. First. Important before urgent. Unless, it is taking a poop, if that's the case then everything else can wait. Hahahahha. Talk about speaking from experience.. multiple experiences.
2. Getting ample and sufficient rest during and throughout a productive and active day.
3. Good new music - this song is really nice - Billie Eillish's Everything I Wanted. Heard it on the radio, googled the lyrics and remember the title!
4. Focus on what we want to achieve , to be, and then choose our activities wisely that brings us best & fastest to achieve that. Granted, things, circumstances and plans change all the time, so, more the reason we have to do it now while it is still the best we can do. And do it the best we can do.
5. Exercise! In the end I didn't need to wait to get fancy dumbells etc. The 5kg NSK bought liquid detergent is actually damn good an exercise accessory. It's just a matter of doing it regularly, putting it at convenient place to do without much thinking/resistance. Easy peazy.
6. We both sent our resumes out to the creative creator job! Likely won't get it, and as of now the best outcome is to get through an interview and only reject them later because our primary commitment is still towards real estate. But this whole episode has been very refreshing and positive. To keep ourselves sharp and momentum going while innovating in unprecedented times.
7. I've finally decided to buy the GPU I've shortlisted. Confident and happy with the decision. Now's just to executing the plan. To summarize the considerations, we're looking at shortlisted options - Nvidia 750TI vs 1030. 750TI is 7 years old and second hand at RM400. Reliable, strong and cheap. Good for old games, not good for new games. The 1030 at RM900 is slightly more than double, can play better games, slightly more modern. But at the end of the day, we are just playing 2 very old games, very low requirement, and no intention to play any future games. We just want something reliable. This 750TI is like an aged Myvi vs 1030 a more modern mid range car. In this particular comparison, what we really need is the most affordable reliable method that achieve the purpose. Nothing more. Once I've figured out the primary question clearly, then answer becomes clear. It's 750TI.
